  • Sunil Chhetri was born on 3 August 1984 to K. B. Chhetri, an officer in the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) of the Indian Army, and Sushila Chhetri in Secunderabad, Telangana, India.
  •  His father played for the Indian Army's team while his mother and her twin sisters played for the Nepal women's national team.Chhetri started playing football from a young age taking part in various tournaments.
  •       On 4 December 2017, Chhetri got married to his long time girlfriend Sonam Bhattacharya.

Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri made everyone proud today by putting up such a great show and entertaining the crowd.
On 2nd of June, he appealed to the crowd to come to the stadium and watch the matches & cheer for them.
Today, we got goosebumps to see how India beat Kenya 3-0 and made the crowd jump with joy. There's high likelihood of India reaching the finals of this tournament. Amidst this, we would like to introduce you to Chhetri's wife Sonam Bhattacharya.
Sonam is the daughter of Subrata Bhattacharya (Mohan Bagan); they two were in a relationship for quite a lot of time before they tied the knot.
